I know they exist, because I have them in several guitars, and they are still listed on the Bourns website. But I cannot find them for sale anywhere at all.

The last time I got some was about 10 years ago. Curiously enough, I could not find them for sale then either, so I emailed Bourns directly. Part of the contact process required giving them your physical address, which I did. I never got a reply from them, but about two weeks later I got a package in the mail with four of the pots, and a note that said my need was so small, they just sent me a sample for free.

So I emailed them again recently, looking for a retailer that has the Model 95 in an 25K. But no response this time. And no package in the mail (yet).

Looks like this... 25k ohm (not 250k).

You need that exact model or just close ?
Mouser ? Digikey ? They're hard to navigate site wise, but they have most things.

Yeah... for a Tele I’m wiring with EMG pickups. The Bourns Model 95 pot is just so incredibly smooth. And it’s sealed too... so no dust can ever get inside.

I did email both Mouser and Digikey. One already responded back that their minimum order was 135 units... which came out to be about $1800 I think. A little more than I’m willing to spend on this Tele.

I purchased my Bourns from Mouser just a few years ago.

Ok... Mouser has them... but $25 each... yikes. Not sure I want them that bad.

I bought them because they fit through the f hole of my MIK Sheraton II, but in the end, they were worth it anyway. Smooth and quiet. People pay much more than that for a noise gate pedal.

Relax.. the quality pots are pretty much meaningless in a passive guitar.. other than for long term reliability.... and braggin' rights.. as for tone difference. . . there is none between the 5.99 CTS and the 25.00 Bourns..

Are you looking for a linear or "audio" 25k? I don't know exactly what the characteristics of a given EMG pickup would be across all frequencies, but it seems you shouldn't "need" audio for such an application, in which case you can use a resistor in parallel with a higher value pot to get into the right range.
