I'm building a parts caster and the body that I have is routed for hum buckers. I'm wanting to put a single coil in the bridge but single coil bridges aren't wide enough for to cover the route. Does someone make a bridge that will cover the humbucker route?

They have bridges that are two pieces.

One is a tele half bridge and the other is an adapter plate (pickup ring) that holds a single coil tele bridge.

I don’t know if the holes would line up with what you already have though.

But that isn’t a huge deal.

So it's basically a pickup ring? I am actually trying to avoid the pickup ring look. I was hoping that it would be more of a Hot Rod look.

[IMG] Can you install this and make an insert to set the bridge pickup in?

How does that mount to the bridge though?

You can use your existing bridge and put the single coil pick up in a Humbucker cover. You just need to use a cover that matches the pole spacing....2-1/16" is pretty common...I have done it several times. I have a single coil pu in a P90 cover....works great

    That's a Gotoh brand.

Make sure you get the correct bridge for the body you have. Some modern bodies are drilled for string-through differently than older Tele bodies.
