    that's about $450 us dollars.
brand new they average about $650 or so.
$450 is on the lower range of what you can expect to find a used one for. if it's in good shape, I'd say go for it.

I'd certainly go for it! The seller seems to have done all the right 'mods' too.

the g12m came stock, but vox amps like jj tubes and it's my opinion that the reverb in vox amps sucks, so yeah.

The last thing you want is more splashy reverb in that amp. It’s like a 1, a 2, or a 3. You want the quickest decay. My replacement tank was about $18.

Are you young and strong ? Those are ridiculously heavy.

    That price is ok.

the ac15c1 weighs about 48.5 lbs, so yeah, it's heavy for what it is.

If you can't stop thinking about it then you have to go for it. I can't comment on Canadian prices but posters seem to think the price is competitive especially with the upgrades. I fitted JJs to my AC4c1 and it was a big improvement on the stock tubes.

in my area, that same amp sells for 899 + 13% tax brand new.

Thanks for the updates, meeting the guy on Monday to test drive and likely bring home an amp!

The stock AC15C1 definitely needs new tubes and an upgraded reverb unit. Do that and it's a beautiful sounding amp. I put JJs (power) and TungSols (preamp) in mine and it sounds way better than it did before. Also put in an Accutronics reverb tank from an old '90s Fender SS that died, and it's got what I'd call "normal Fendery-type" reverb now. If you don't like the tank it's got, just get a new one; like someone said, decent tanks are pretty cheap. I say go for it.

i think that is a fairly high price relative to what i paid for a new one. way to high values for the tubes and reverb tank. i would value them at no more than $100 total. i would inspect what mods were done physically. i did switch to 6bq5s from the tubestore and i had some NOS 12ax7s around and it sure sounded better. i also swapped out the reverb tank for one with a shorter decay. those seem to be the main mods short of the blue speaker that cost a ton.

well, $450 is what I paid for a new / refurb one -- $425 plus shipping. Reverb tank is $25 plus or minus and the installation is 10 minutes' work with an electric screwdriver. JJ tubes are $62.50 from Eurotubes. So you're ballpark on the money -- maybe a little high but not ridiculous. But not a screaming deal by any means. If it look OK and sounds good with no issues, go for it -- after you've carried it around the block once. Now imagine doing that the 2:30 in the morning in a snowstorm wearing cowboy boots. I love mine but if I can't get my rolling cart pretty close to the stage, I bring the GA-15 instead.

And then ask what is his lowest price?

Good luck OP~ I think those are popular for a reason.
