That part didn't make the video cut.

The body is beginning to smell and look more like Douglas Fur. However, it tools like Western Red Cedar. Brittle as ****.

@Colt W. Knight good to see you back.

I want to thank you for showing the process of how to spray nitro in a dry and arid environment and I am looking forward to your education on how to spray nitro when there is snow on the ground!

Maine looks a tad bit colder than Arizona!!

Good to see you back Colt! I had often wondered if your career had taken all your time. Happens to all of us to some degree.

Your body is almost certainly Doug Fir, just from looking at the grain and color. Fir and western red cedar or hard cedar for that matter smell nothing alike. The post looked like rift sawn fir. It looks almost like vertical grain fir, but the grain is not actually perpendicular to the face of the board.

Welcome back Colt!!!! Though you may not know this, your videos (along with many other experts out here) really helped me/ inspired me to build my first 51 Nocaster (see my icon pic) :) She has become my #1 guitar and I've played the snot out of her. You've obviously been VERY busy, so welcome back man! Looking forward to the build!!! Lookin' good man.

With this frigid Maine winter, the finish will be challenging, but I think I'll be able to overcome. Plus, I have all the components to build a guitar buffer. That process will be shown, as well.

Anyway, I've been waiting on parts to proceed. That day has come. Jescar is even delivering me a brand new roll of SS fretwire today.

Dad sent me his Starrett protractor, square and center finder head in the mail that he used in tool and due school 40 years ago. Took a little bit of rust removal and lapping, but it's back in working order again. I need to order a 4R blade, and I'll be in business.

Thanks Ron, I try to use my whole ass doing stuff.

That was the plan, but there is a nasty inclusion in it that makes half the board unusable. I should have read the description better...
