    Hey guys
I have been playing telecasters for a long time but I thought I would share the tele that I play the most:

Its home-made obviously-- GFS metal foil pickup in there currently, moved the jack to the control plate, a indonesian squier neck from that weird telecaster/jazzmaster mashup they did a few years ago, GFS body

I have a american strat and a couple of other teles but this piece of junk blows them all away

Perfect example of vastly differing preferences, but we can still have friendly discussions about our guitars. I don't like the headstock, the single pickup, the lack of a tone control, and (without knowing for sure) I bet the neck's too "skinny" for me.....but I'm glad you've found what "floats your boat". The coolest thing about Telecasters is they can almost be perfect for somebody in any iteration. ;)

Okay... you guys need to report on the GFS Gold Foils. How do they sound... is there a comparison to the tone? Are they pups micro-phonic do they feedback? I keep thinking they will sound like a Teisco Tulip. I sure wouldn't mind that Coodercaster Tone from the right pickup for a slide guitar.

They are a little more punchy than the stock ones. I haven't noticed any unusual feedback with them, but haven't used them enough yet to be difinitive. I'm keeping them at any rate. Very satisfied with the tone. Will he ry to get some sound clips.
