Okay I am wondering who people use for this.

My strumming elbow starts hurting badly if I try to play with the guitar too high (or sitting down!), so basically my arm is almost straight. Nirvana style I guess.

Almost every single guitar or bass strap is about ten inches too short - 53”. I need 62” give or take depending on the guitar.

I did find some awesome strap makers on Etsy but I’m wondering if there are others?

I recently lost $200 in this pursuit (PM for details), so I’d prefer a seller someone has dealt with personally.

Try Jeri Hart at jeridesigns.com . Great selection and two size ranges as standard, plus she would probably make a longer one without adding a to the price if it's one of her more common ones.

Tell her Jeff (Milo) sent you

The $6 Ernie Ball Poly Pro straps are 68". I splurged and put $25 Perri's Extra Long leather straps on my Gibsons- those are 58", but that's enough for me.

I don't know how long Fender's vintage-style leather strap is, but there are about a bazillion reviews of it at Musicians Friend that say it's way too long. It may be worth a try.

Hey thanks everyone that was quick!

I took a look at Jeri’s and they look very nice - but have you ever had the buckle make a ding? I kinda prefer the foldy leather style.

I apologize that even though I don’t eat animals, I can only play with their skin! Looking for leather.

The Perri’s are nice but to be completely honest, I think it’s super cheesy that they brand them right in the front. If they gave me the straps I’d be fine with it...

I’m on Strat talk so I will check out that user. Thanks a lot! I need like three so this is great to have options.

Wouldn't it be simple enough to have a 12" leather extension custom made?
I have a rather large friend with a similar problem. He had a couple off extensions made, don't know where he had them done.

That’s a perfectly respectable solution; however, not the look I’m going for. Also, I’d worry about where the strap and extension join, for the reason below!

These Couch Guitar Strap fellows on Etsy seem to be right up my alley, except that they’re all buckles. Maybe he’ll do a foldy style. I do think a metal buckle will end up dinging some finishes in my world! I tend to change guitars quickly, throwing the straps above my head as the guitar comes off. Kinda thow the strap over my head and the guitar comes straight off, rather than raising the guitar. I dunno, it feels a lot better to me to do it this way, and it’s much faster and more fun!

Walker & Williams straps on eBay come in extra long lengths and are really nice soft leather and the prices are great. I have a few and think they are worth at least three times the price.

Holy crap man you’re right, those look gorgeous! But all the ones only extend to 53” or 54”. I tossed them a message, hopefully they’ll do it! Those are just brilliant, thanks a lot for that!

On desktop website version, there is a dropdown for length.

Over 200 straps as long as or longer than 63"... some all the way up to 77"
