This song has a super strong association in my mind of driving into the apartment complex I lived in my sophomore year in college. I knew it wasn't Creedence but until recently I didn't actually know who it was... just that they sounded a lot like Creedence.

I guess that intro is the Telecaster equivalent to the Stratocaster "Sweet Home Alabama" intro.

Doesn't really matter to me, though, because I can never play it right.

Great song... I am currently un-learning and relearning it.
I was looking to compare what I find to others’.
A work-mate and I just discussed this week that any (from a number of) groups could have took this song (as recorded) to stardom.

In 2019 Clarke released an album -'Resurgence' which featured an update on Long Cool woman...

Once you get past the guitar intro and riff...the bass/kick pattern is pretty fascinating as well. I love it.
