I am in the USAF Reserves. I am currently 200 miles away from my Squier CVC while I do my 2 week annual tour. I miss it. I brought my Washburn acoustic, but it isn't helping me with my withdrawal. The poor fella is sitting there, in my house, scared and alone...

Think of the welcome you will get when you return home.:)

Just to make it worse for you, I have just come downstairs after playing mine for 1 hour. I only went up for 10 minutes.

I'm not sure what's sadder - your post or the fact I understand what you're saying ;-)

Throw in the old Hank song "Alone and Forsaken"......by fate and by man......You are doing this for your country. For that, we thank you. Your Tele will not be forsaken for long.

    Sorry about that.
Next time, remember the old Fender adds, and take it with you.

Anyway, great job you are doing to help protect us all.
Give your CVC a good play when you get home.

Take this chance to get re-aquainted with that ol' acoustic, after all they do make sweet music and are such low maintance. . . not the same as our Tele but still a sweet mistress, if you know what I mean.

The Tele love is odd, isn't it? I've played flattop for 40 years and honestly am better at that...but when I went to hunting camp a few years ago I really missed my Tele. Something about darned Teles...I'm taking mine tomorrow for a trip north. Maybe next swing take your Tele + a Pignose or little 5W tube amp. You can do the Tele thing + serenade camp mates with it when 'play me a song' duty calls.

You'll be home soon & take care out there.

I almost did bring it with me, but I haven't got a case for it yet. I need to pick up a gig bag. I have a 10 watt Randall that I could have dragged along, plus a mini Marshall stack that runs off of a 9 volt. I won't repeat this torture next time.

My fingers are complaining a little about the added pressure required to squeeze tone out of my beat up Washburn, but it's good for them. Builds character (and callouses)

    Thank you for your service.

I think you can expect some sparks when you and your Tele are reunited.
