I'm looking for a low-output, clear and defined neck humbucker that is wound around 7k. I think the Lollar low-wind imperial might be what I am looking for, but I only have $100 max to spend, so it is not an option.

Are there any other humbuckers that are in the same ballpark?

Bill Lawrence's Wilde line has several options for humbuckers, all of which are crystal clear, and available in lower inductances. The production of the L600 (poled design) is on hold for now for all new orders, but the L90 is pretty incredible if you're okay with the bladed appearance.

Not played them in person, but the EJ Customs (Dimarzio) always sound impressive in clips. I've been thinking about a pair for a while now...

Check out the Manlius Landmark. Scatterwound, $85 uncovered or $97.50 with cover. I have one in the neck of my SG and it's a damn nice pickup. From memory I think it was about 7.6k, but Mick will underwind it for you if you want.

Very good service, fast turnaround and easy to deal with. I have some other Manlius pickups and they're all fine pickups.

You could maybe keep an eye out for a secondhand Schaller Golden50s. I have one at 7.4k, just had it installed in a guitar but haven't yet collected it. It's supposed to be very clear and bright.
