I'm going to send it to Bob. He built this wonderful instrument and I think he should perform the metamorphosis. He and I have talked off and on over the last couple of months about different set-ups. I just want to do this one time so I want to make sure I am right on what I want. I am certain on the 5 way switch, Barden Saddles and having the bridge plate shaved down on the pickguard side. 90% sure on the Donahue Bridge PUP and 75% on the neck PUP. I'm looking for anyone with experience with either or both set ups to offer me there thoughts good or bad, on the forum or privately. Thank you for you kind words neighbor. Stephen

    Very nice!

I have a Logan in White Blonde and RW neck and it has become my number 1.

    Little secret here;

Bob's strats might be as good or better than his Tele's. Sssh don't tell anyone!

You will know what I mean soon.

    Hello Tele,

Thanks...that would be great. I was originally going to go with the Natural Ash on his website but then I saw this one. I like the tinted neck with the gold hardware coupled with Vintage Blonde.

Toadhopper57 (Randy?), sweet looking Strat. Like the vintage blonde. I'll bet in time that white guard will age in a way that really complements that finish.

telecasterman. Try www.gretsch-talk.com This is a great forum for the Gretsch enthusiast. There is a Buy/Sell/Trade section at the bottom. Best wishes in your search. Stephen

Hey! New here on the tele forum, and just heard about these Logan guitars. Have to say Im really impressed, and SUPER interested in buying one. I really just want to play one now, before I go through with having Bob build one. Anyone know if his stuff is available in stores at all? As a custom builder, Id guess not.

I've heard of his guitars turning up at stores, but I assume that's just via trade ins...

Best way to find out for sure is to give him a call.

Haden, I mentioned in your other thread that Bob has had guitars in some store in his area. I looked it up; it's Warp Drive/Cream City Music. http://www.warpdrivemusic.com/

I thought the store was in a state adjacent to Wisconsin, but actually in Brookfield, WI. I don't know if they have any of his guitars there right now, but that's the place that had some 2-3 years ago.

Again, best way to find out is to ask Bob.

Nice bunch of Logans guys. One day I may have him do a Thinline for me. After i pay off my latest Tele buy. His prices are awesome for what you get. Played one once, it was nice. Does he offer chunky necks too? I like a fat D or U shape.

Well, as we often say around here, that would be a question for Bob. But I count the Medium C necks on mine as chunky.

And so does a former session guitarist friend of mine. Tom happened to come into the local GC 4 1/2 years ago as I was trying out a Highway 1. I asked his opinion, and he wisely said, "You'll know it when you find it." After I discovered Logan Customs and got my first Logan Tele (my mahogany solidbody), I brought her up to one of Tom's gigs, and he said, "Let me play her in my second set." I knew I could trust him with my guitar, so I immediately agreed. He played the whole second set with my Logan, and commented on her after the gig. One comment he made was "It has a nice chunky neck."

But again, for chunky as in fat D or U shape, I would think so, but...ask Bob.

Decided to change the pickguard as the original was showing a lot of scratches. Went for white pearl instead of the tortoise. Liking it. :p
Hoping it won't show the scratches as bad.
