Live in rhe field reporting looks dumb with a reporter standing in front of a closed court house,. What happened to a reporter giving his report in the news room... Wasted money, who are they fooling?

Also, who needs pin point weather forecast? 100 temps, all with in 2-3 degrees for 25 communities within a 50 mile radius... stupid. I would prefer to hear it's going to be about 100 degrees in the central TX area.

The sky is falling, get off my lawn...

Local news in my parts are a joke. I hear about every temporary road closure. Nothing about huge national happenings. They don’t have time to mention a mass shooting but some maintenance on a two lane 25 miles out of town?... they’re all over it

It’s local. So I like it. Even if they are live broadcasting from the tractor pulls.

What bugs me is the heat index nonsense. They report “It’s gonna be 100 but the heat index will make it feel like 103. Show me someone who can feel the difference between 100 and 103 and I’ll show you a liar.

Local news, the Miami Herald, broke the Jeffrey Epstein story open. Something to consider.

We have had 95 and heat index of 105 to 110. Yes, you can definitely tell. It is not only hot, it’s also humid.

The local news (Harrisburg PA) here is hokey and outdated. No surprise from an area which has no delicatessens.

The local news in my area (south central PA) is pretty good. It's sort of old school style where the reporters don't add their own flair much. I like it that way. They go on site a lot but that's the norm today. There are 3 local stations competing so the extra effort is always there.

Also it keeps me up on what's happening locally. The daily paper is about 6-8 pages, just not worth it.

And I like the weather radar we have today, not sure your issue there.

You live in Texas and have a lawn?

To be honest, I kind of prefer news that doesn't go through as tight a billionaire filter. It's getting hard to find billionaire-free news these days.

Local news is just that- LOCAL NEWS. National and International news is covered by the networks. DUH!
    FWIW, it's spelled "phooey".

I’m much more interested in hearing about road closures than being told the latest thing I’m supposed to be outraged about. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Local news in my area used to be so bad that it was hilarious, but is now even worse, to the point that it's unwatchable. It's a group of certifiable morons trading bad jokes with each other while delivering "stories" that sound like they were put together by a fifth grade class. Seriously. It's depressing beyond description. That there are a couple of competent reporters in the mix just makes it worse, highlighting how the rest can't even come close to average. I often wonder what they get paid. For about a year, we had a weather "girl" who was unbelievably beautiful. That's great journalism.

Hey, at least your channel uses the correct nomenclature "heat index", the stations around here have had to dumb it down to "feels like" which they also use for wind chill...

But, at Least it's a dry heat... :)

If you can call weeds a lawn, at least I live far enough out of town that I don't get in trouble for not mowing.
