Hey there,

I'm watching a early 2000's Gretsch Country Classic 62 RI. I thought about going to the live auction just 30 miles away, but the early online bidding went to $980.

How high should I go? :)

I'm watching online and the lot should be up in about an hour or so. I don't need it or really want it, but I might go as high as $1200-1300 plus a 5% fee....Years ago I bought a used 2013 '58 Country Gentleman.

I thought it'd be fun to see what TDPRI members guess it'll go for and how crazy some bidders might get.

I'd have thought a Gretsch "solid body" Country Classic model would be pretty unique if not on the way to priceless! ;)

Or, presuming it not to be unique .... there's one on Reverb now at c. your $2000.

Whew.....managed to not spend any money! It went for $1850 + fees.

For a few seconds I thought I was gonna get it for $1100, but then the it climbed fast.
