Sounds like she's a miserable person, too bad for your friend. I'd have done the same thing if I were you but it's ultimately not your fault or problem. He's the poor guy that has to live with her.

Be an awesome friend. Let the chips fall where they may afterwards. People need awesome friends.
At some point it becomes a give away with some of the "friends" I get. If that friend can't buy a preowned Squier Bullet to ruin his relationship, that relationship was going to fail without me being involved. He's dating or married to her, not me. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for love in this world & for them to last a lifetime as soulmates, so I will not interfere or get involved in the bliss & harmony of it all.

I don't loan guitars to anybody.

I've done it once--its a great feeling *if* you do it without the expectation of ever getting it back. I gave a really nice Strat copy with Fender Tex Mex Pickups in it to a friend I work with. I gave him a Fender Frontman 25R and a Boss SD-1 as well. He mentioned that he loved rock music but hadn't had a guitar in years--his previous one broke. I love knowing my friend now has a better rig than the one I started with.
