Oregon, best state in the Union. Enough room and beauty to discover anything about yourself.

For a moment I thought this was a post by a crazy Brit, the NW of England is mainly gloomy and wet all year round, Oregon sounds good to me,yes I have been there in September time, all the way up from Grants Pass to Portland then over to Pendleton (The Roundup)
Make the move and good luck.

Roger that! Who would have thought there was a semi-arid region in Washington? Average about 7-8 inches of rain a year!

If you are at all susceptible to S.A.D., Portland or Seattle will not be good fits for you. Seriously. Depression is a powerful thing, and you should do what you can to keep it at bay. There's just not very much light in the Pac NW between October and March.
