Was Neko with them?
Live his music. I hope you get to see him before too long.
She sure as hell was... and man did they run through a scorcher of a set, all her "hits" with them that I could recall.
The time before I'd seen them (DC in '09 or so), they were cagey about her being with them and as it happened, she wasn't. AC is just a great/personable performer, but he can't lift THAT weight. Man can she sing, and they are SO tight live.
As the old song goes; "Don't get around much anymore." Younger days had me gigging and time off was spent going to various concerts, clubs, et cet.
Back to the question, daughter and son in law took the misses and me to see Boz Scaggs at the local casino around Nov-Dec of 2019. Boz was awesome.
Tinsley Ellis at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix March 18, 2020. Last time we went out. No music, restaurants, theater, etc. since. We can wait.
Third time we have seen him there in the last couple of years, and he is always great. Funny, he said toward the end of his show. "I hope I don't have to wait a whole year to come back again.
Good deal. Yeah, if she isn't with them I'd almost be inclined to say it's false advertising. She is about 80% of what I like about them.
Totally agree. Hard for me to think of an NP song I love where she's not at least heavily audible on the backing vox.
For me it was so long ago I don't remember which was the last one. It was probably Johnny Winter at the Pier Bar here at least a decade ago, maybe longer. He couldn't play standing, so he was sitting, and his voice was weaker than before his health declined, but his playing was as fiery and awesome as ever.
the last tickets I recieved ( as agift from my wife) was for Johnny Winter an excellant show , Johnny was so into it he stood for the whole encore and ended with Hwy 61 revisited that turned into Castles made of sand ,
I had front row seats, and I saw 4 super reverbs on stage , so I moved to the back row great line of sight , glad i did , that boy was loud!
the last concert i worked was for heart I did Anne's follow spot these are some of my souveniers and back stage passes from the show ( set lists ,drum heads, passes, etc)
A little old band from Texas on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2019 at the Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, Oklahoma.
Colin Hay, with my 9-year old daughter, in San Francisco back in February. She’s started guitar lessons before this but since has gotten more serious and really good. That concert was a big part of lighting her interest. We were third row. He was terrific.
Vulfpeck, Madison Square Garden, 9/28/19
Can't remember. We had tickets, though, to see David Grisman in Grants Pass.
Edit: I think it was Del McCoury, November '19.
Die Antwoord in Boston, super high energy, had a blast!
Purchased front row tickets for Masters of the Telecaster at the Boston city winery but they haven’t rescheduled it, I’m afraid it probably won’t happen, will unfortunately have to get refunded for that one..
The last thing I saw was at our last gig back in March. It was a snow plow flying by right after we were told the VFW would be closing indefinitely and our already-booked gigs there were cancelled.
built to spill at the fillmore in SF
We go to a lot of student concerts at the local university. It looks like early March was the last one .
I’ve also been playing in church since some time in July
The last non tribute band performance I saw was this guy
Last concert was an Allman Brothers cover band in Toronto in feb
Last professional, touring concert was Phish at Nassau Coliseum in Dec. was amazing.
