The last touring artist I saw live was Dale Watson, October 2019, at a small bar in New Haven. The last live music in general was a local musician that does an annual night before Thanksgiving cover themed show with a bunch of his musician friends at the same bar. I’m bummed at the thought that it probably won’t happen this year as it is a fun night.

The Cult at House of Blues in Boston, December 14th.

Had tix to see Green Day/Weezer/Fallout Boy at Fenway Park last month, but it has been postponed indefinitely (a.k.a. no refund).

I may have timelines crossed, due in part to the onset of being a total gimmer. It's been a while.
Either The Blockheads or Wilko. I tend to catch them whenever I can.

We had Wilco tix in hand before you-know-what started, for last month .... the show including opener Sleater-Kinney got postponed to exactly the same date next year, same tix all good!

Peter Frampton, September 13, 2019, MSG. Great show. Peter sang and played as well as he did on the Comes Alive album, IMHO. Could have lived happily without the Led Zeppelin Experience opener, however.

Coco Montoya, November 14th, 2019 at the Blue Note Grill, Durham, NC. Seems forever ago.

In short succession I saw Cool John Furguson, Eric Gales, and Coco. A test for all you TDPRIers. What unique characteristic links these three players?

Gang of Four, last November. Seems like several lifetimes ago now.

RIP Andy Gill, I'm glad that I got to see him one last time.

Judy Collins for me, back in February. Just a piantist to accompany her, in a show with a fantastic back catalogue and story telling.

The Mummies and Thee Cormans, March 15 at Zebulon. The same day L.A. ordered bars closed. Got in right under the wire. The order came in during the show, and everyone was politely herded out shortly after it finished.

Hrm I think it was The Mystic Braves in 2018. Or The Brian Jonestown Massacre. I don't recall which happened first.

Billy Joel, February 2020, Madison Square Garden. Itzhak Perleman was a guest artist for a song. They did a cover of Take it Easy that was awesome. At one point Billy Joel was playing guitar for some reason. It was a great show and I feel lucky to have been there.

Music: 2/6 New Pornographers at Meow Wolf. Epic show and venue, a band I've seen a handful of times going back to '04 or so.

Musicians: 3/12 Rakim & Chuck D talking about Rakim's book Sweat the Technique. Chuck's wife is friends with the curator at the museum/gallery where it took place. Two of my all time top three. As last live events go... tough to top seeing two teenage heroes.

Left on deck :( --> Had tickets for Marty Stuart's 'The Pilgrim' tour in May, he's supposed to reprise it next year. Also had tickets to The Chats (Aussie pop-punk) in June.

We are live music folks, around dozen shows per year, usually a festival or two. Trying to keep up on live streams is a bit of a chore and just not the same, but I've been to many and have bought something from each of the acts.

It's been a long time since I've gone this long without seeing someone play.

Back in January I won a pair of tickets on the radio for Jason Isbell this month. Ain't gonna happen, obviously.
