Awesome band, awesome tune but it needed more cowbell! Thank goodness that disco era clothes are only found in thrift stores now. ;)

When the Tower of Power horn section kicks in on Waiting for Columbus, it's the perfect match!
This song never got any airplay but it's my favorite from the album:

Yes, absolutely killer!!!

Mercenary Territory!!

Those vocals and soaring slide guitar... into that soaring sax solo!!

OMG!

Gives me chills!!

Lowell in all of his Glory!!!

Isn't this a song about a "john" trying to solicit his favorite prostitute but she is "out of order" due to her painful period (i.e. menses) referred to here as the "fat man in the bathtub with the blues?"

Great band. Got to see them three times. Once with Lowell. Still listen to a lot of their stuff.
This post could have been from me - my position exactly.
Edited because I forgot to mention that the show I saw with Lowell was the famous (in Feat circles) Halloween show from 1975. Tremendous - live music doesn't get much better. There was a 2-CD set of this show released several years ago, and you can still buy it for crazy money. I wish I'd bought it when it was reasonably priced.

Loved that band. Almost saw them with Lowell but had to call out sick at the last minute. Then I saw them a few times post-Lowell and they were still great, but damn I'd have loved to see that guy. Great writer, singer, player - he had it all going on, but couldn't keep himself alive...

Roll Um Easy has become one of my favorite songs to play and sing on acoustic. Kinda tired of Willin. Most of their other stuff is too funky for me. I mean, I love it, but I can't play it worth a damn...

We still put Willin' in our acoustic set some 40 odd years later. We also used to do All That You Dream. Might have to resurrect that one.
