All you can eat Smorgasbord
Mediteranean/Greek/Egyptian
Seafood
Chicken Fillet sandwich shop
Southwest/Mexican

The events of March 2020 essentially wiped out all the Smorgasbord style dining halls in my area.

I looked at a few menus. Maybe give one or two of these a shot before heading out to Vancouver.

I've eaten at a few of these and my reaction was "meh". Maybe because I'll make a hippy burrito at home and that's good enough for me. I've never had a dish that delivered a wow factor.

This is reminding me I need to find some good Mexican food the next time I'm in Vancouver. It's currently near the bottom of my list because I don't think I've ever had a decent example.
To be fair it can sometimes be hard to find good Mexican in Mexico. But when you do find the good stuff, oh my. And, like many of the cuisines mentioned here, it is a big country with definite regional differences. I m sure Ive barely scratched the surface.

Cheers,
Geoff

I don't care for much of anything Middle Eastern or Asian.
Otherwise, if it's good. Bring it on.

I tend to gravitate to high protein meals with taters and bread in the Fall and Winter. Spring time and all through Summer I'm craving veggies, salads and cold cuts, and ICE CREAM.

Kinda fixated on American comfort food (JUST NOT SOUTHERN FRIED ANYTHING), I will no longer eat battered fried foods Except tempora whitefish and french fries.

I like Steak houses.

I like Steak take out.

I like breakfast places that sell steak and eggs.

I like open faced steak sandwiches and the places that prepare them.

I like the little concessions that sell steak sandwiches at the county fair.
