I've sat on this article through Winter NAMM to see how things worked out but it is now ready to view! This is a fairly narrow review of Helix, now that it has become mature, asking whether it is worth it to update to it from the previous generation of modelers. I'm on my third generation of modeler at this point. You can read more, HERE.

    Enjoy!

Being a Helix user I would like to read this... but....

I can't read large amounts of white text on a dark background....
The "full width" also doesn't work for me, but I can shrink the window to fix that. Still doesn't help with the contrast.

(sorry, I don't mean to be critical with such a trivial thing.... I'm just letting you know as I'm sure I'm not alone)

No, the box of chocolates is still extra.

However, having said that, it is impressive. I’ve had four different L6 units starting with the original kidney bean POD. That, to me, was a product that was OK as a practice tool and as unit of last resort. (That probably means that 40 years from now, someone will be praising it for its retro sounds).

The helix is something that I don’t mind using out.
