Anybody know who the band members are in the above Live in Hollywood 1980 video? Linda and the band sound great, but I was so disappointed. She had cut all her hair off!

I only recognized Russ Kunkel on drums and Bill Payne on keyboards.

    Anyone else know the band?

Yes that’s just the right word: adorable. I like people who are open and unguarded and have humility.

Just watched a couple different live videos of her doing Tumblin Dice, and the guitar player was Waddy Wachtel! (Not gonna confuse him with anyone else...)

My exact reaction - same sentence even.

Love how she completely takes over the stage from some heavy hitters here.

Me too. In the 70s, she was THE beauty of rock n roll...not easy to beat out Grace Slick.
    Man, what a voice!

My only contact with LR was after her show in Tuscaloosa in the mid 70's. I had to run our APU tug out to the private jet she was flying in. She was standing outside the jet while I plugged it in and the pilot cranked it up. She shouted, "Thank you!" and got on board. I had no idea who it was but she was small enough that I thought she was somebody's kid.

When I got back to the main hangar, one of the guys asked me if I saw her. "Her? You mean the girl?" "Yah, that was LR." "Oh."

    My "brush with fame"

That's a great video. And notice the gigantic smile on Keith Richards face. Playing with his idol Chuck Berry...

It wasn't all smiles - check out the movie Hail Hail Rock'nRoll, which is the documentary about the concert. KR was the music director, and Chuck was a PITA the entire time. I think he's smiling because it's almost over.
