    Yes he is great!!

Was I the only one who kept thinking of this skit every time he took the mound?

    Timmy rocks.
Guy looks like he should be hanging out in his mom's basement listening to Rush and doing bong hits and instead, he's throwing nasty stuff at the Rangers. The guy is incredible.

    Howdy,

Lincecum could be the next Tiger Woods with respect to marketability. He looks like he's 16.
Stereos, video games, soft drinks, pimple cream..he could make a ton with product endorsements aimed at the youth market. YMMV and IMHO.

I'm sure he has his own pad, and I have no idea of what music he listens to, ...but you threw strikes with the other two. Congrats to him.

Its amazing the guts the guy has too. He is not afraid to bring it to the best hitters, most young pitchers would rather tiptoe around. Cojones like that don't come around too often.

Yes he does look like that kid from Dazed and Confused. Not to derail the thread but having a drink every time that kid touches his nose makes for a fun drinking game.

Anyway, I'm glad for Lincecum and the Giants.

Can anybody make a case that there's anyone better in baseball over the past 3 seasons? His dominating, strikeout stuff is well established. This run through the World Series (garden variety long-suffering Giants fan here!) showed me that he has the toughness to beat the best in the biz when it truly counts. The stuff of greatness.

I just hope he can bring young kids BACK to baseball - away from video games and football. Tim's got a unique style and it's cool to watch his unorthodox style (both game and personal)...add in Brian Wilson - wow ! A knock out pair.

He reminds me of some of the skate/snowboarder dudes who hang around the downtown mall. He's an amazing player. Glad to see the Giants win!

This is the definitive Tim Linecum separated at birth. Little Mitchy Kramer from " Dazed and Confused." This was killing me since this thread started as I could see the kid pitching, but could not remember what movie it was from. Apparently, I was not the only one as I got the side by side picture off Google pics.
