Lol. My fiancé of 2 years just gave me the cat ultimatum. I have 3, all rescues & all 3 are socially weird.

I thought about it for a few seconds, and just said fine lmk when you find a new place i’ll help you move. Epic and I mean epic ftfo.

Life comes at you so weird sometimes. Shrug.

Think I’ll buy that reverend corgan sig I’ve been wanting.

    Lol, that is all

Sometimes things happen for a reason.
I figured out what lmk means. But what does ftfo mean?

Curious about two things: How long were you two living together? How long have you had the three cats? In other words, were the cats an issue that's been simmering with her for years but intensified because of COVID's close quarters? Or did you just expand your cat collection recently?

God, there is such a good joke here but I can't use it in it's original for so I'll have to deliver it in a more... masked form. "You're forever going to be known as the guy who chose _______ over _______." Both words left out are the same. Oh, and it would be the same if you had kept her and gotten rid of the cats.

Yep... if given an ultimatum, I’ll side with my dogs any day.

As tery said, better now than later.

It may seem extreme, but you don't want to be with someone that doesn't want your cats. Things will never work out in the end. Same goes with dogs.

The inverse is, don't hook up with a dognutter if you don't like dogs. Same with cats.

@medownsouth you dodged a bullet. No fault here, you were both wrong for each other.

    Or maybe
just choosing not to live with someone who feels they can just dole out ultimatums and get their own way? All power to you, OP.

What the men of this thread are missing is that women are far different communicators than men. This ultimatum had absolutely nothing to do with cats.

Yup, love me, love my dog, or cat.
Once you cave to one “old tomato” (ultimatum), there’ll be others.

cats: predate her. cohabitation since July of 2019

Nah I don't think its the covid. We are both in banking; her: retail, me: corporate/it. We are both still keeping office hours.

This one likes to steal people’s high dollar wool yarn (and guitar picks) and whatever unfinished project said yarn is attached to. Today, it seems, its finally reached a boiling point.
