In my county, the DMV keeps telling people that they have the vanity plate of "satan" still available if desired. I've been tempted, but I have enough problems these days. It does surprise me that there has been no takers now for the last 5 years.

New Hampshire Governor just over rode a state regulation on plate language and allowed a mother to keep her tag "PB4WEGO". She's had it for years,

I was caught in a traffic jam on the way to work years ago as a result of an accident on a major arterial road. The guy in the car behind me was having a massive dummy spit because of the inconvenience, blasting his horn and waving his arms around and trying to cut in front when he got a chance. I thought it was pretty hilarious. His number plate I still remember to this day. URL05R (You are (a) loser).

The other memorable one I saw was WMD-404.

I’d never seen a vanity plate until I arrived in SoCal in ‘73. I told a classmate I wanted to get one that read DNA-RNA. She opined that vanity plates were conspicuous consumption. So I didn’t get them. I didn’t get her either.
