The clavichord. Compared to it, the harpsichord was a stellar success. I love them both.

I have hated anything Line 6. That’s just me

Gibsons auto tuning tuners were, IMHO, a fix for a non existing problem. Blech. Barf. Sucked.

I can't be the only one who thinks that Dan Armstrong's See-Through guitars with their interchangeable pickups shouldn't have take off ... ?!?

Tape and oil can echo machines and other gadgetry that didn’t justify it’s price, bulk, or maintenance time (or repair cost) for me.

This Space Invaders/ Centipede type of keyboard learning - it's cheesy.

also the execrable Gibson Dusk Tiger and Firebird X... might as well add the Les Paul low impedance guitars... the Les Paul Professional and the whatever the other ones were called... bass too. But you could plug a microphone into your guitar!!!

Pretty sure those are still widely used.;)

Of course, my Jackson hasn't been out of its case in a year.

EMGs in a Telecaster. I would say EMGs in any guitar, but that’s personal preference, whereas EMGs in a Tele are certified garbage. It’s science.

I went to some artist industry meet and greet a few years ago. The venue was a big audio/visual production place with a few music recording studios. In the corner of one was a dust covered Fairlight CMI. It was a synth from the early 80s capable of sampling. When it came out, it cost somewhere between $80k and $100k. So many raved how it was the future of music.
I think within 3 years of its release Radio Shack had a keyboard that did the same thing for about $50. Plus, it was thought to be putting musicians out of work. Why pay for a French horn player, oboe player or a string section when you can dial up a sample and get some studio assistant play it?

Does it really require all four older brothers to take Timmy trick-or-treating?
