Not sure why this thread is so interesting but it’s fun to see what we do/don’t have in common besides a particular type of guitar

Love your Tissot. I try not to become a "fanboy" of a particular brand of any product, but I've obviously failed in regard to Fender Strats. I find myself more interested in Tissots than the other watches I get daily feeds on...I keep telling myself I already have one, but that brand has something great going on in regard to styling.

I only have one watch. It's about 22 years old now.
Yep, another Citizen Eco-drive. Never faltered, except I did discover that if I left it in the drawer for about 6 months, it would eventually stop.

I don't wear it that much, but it does the job.

The Citizen Eco-drive is one of the types of watches I've always followed.

“This is why we can’t have nice things.”

I wear stuff out. Timex works for me, although sometimes I forget to put it on.

I bought my mom a Timex just this week--she doesn't know it because it hasn't arrived yet. I have a very good friend that is a watch collector (he has about a dozen) and his collection includes a very sharp Timex. Good watches are good watches!

I have been looking for a small gold tone rectangle watch leather band with luminous hands for over a year. I think luminous went away unless it is a dive watch. The only ones I find are vintage and contain radium.

I can't help you with the rectangular spec, but radium has been replaced with tritium, a hydrogen isotope. Luminous paint has its glow fade after exposure to light. Tritium doesn't. Some brands that use tritium gas tubes (tube watches!) are Bertucci: https://www.bertucciwatches.com/Bertucci/WATCHES.html

I think we need more pictures of this one...

Back in the 60s and 70s Seiko was fighting hard to be considered a time piece manufacture of the highest quality. The Swiss and the French were working hard to exclude them from the club. Seiko built some great watches in that period. There are some good accounts of this battle on the interwebs.
