It's not quite a direct tribute to any one specific thing, but I did keep in mind the kind of cool, classy allure of 1950's Nashville when I was building my Nocaster:

Set up with Am. Std. or equivalent parts in a Nocaster-style wiring scheme, I dug the flamey mahogany body and thought the gold bits accented by the pearloid knob domes wound look fantastic being played by a dude with a white-piped black cowboy shirt, or in a Nudie suit. I'll refer to it as my "50's Tributecaster," even though there isn't a whole lot of direct influence, other than "that" over-the-top, black-Cadillac, pill-popping idea of Nashville.

Some of you might have seen this in a different forum. Not a tribute to another guitar, rather to Harley Davidson and my dad.

Dad was a Harley dealer before the war (WWII). He never threw anything away, and after he passed, I ended up with some of his old Harley stuff, including part of a wooden crate that a bike was shipped in, which was marked with his name and address, So I made a guitar out of it. The headstock decal is also a '39-'40 original. Dad was also a coin collector, so I used indian/buffalo nickels from his birth year (1917) for the volume/tone.

I have enough of the crate left to do another guitar... probably a tele-style.

This is fantastic, as it all works and looks like a custom shop kind of creation, as opposed to a bunch to stuff stuck to a guitar!

Now THAT is a family photo! Love it!

Does your bass player use a Hofner?

More of a "tribute" than an exact replica, but... here's a Wolf I did a few years ago:

A Rosebud/Tiger inspired model is on my to do list for someday as well

Nice! I've already got my scale plans made for Wolf. It's not super high on the list, but one day...

    Is yours neck-through?

Thanks! I did this one with a set neck, but if I were to do another I'd probably do a neck-through so it didn't have such a heel joint

Here's mine. It's more a tribute to than a true replica of Andy Summers telecaster.

I'll get around to relicing it (naturally) one day I hope.
