I built this for our cottage a couple years ago. It's huge. And today it's full, so I almost wish I made it bigger.

Still read daily, but I don’t live in a Castle, so Aesthetics and comfort is my target in my small apartment.

Edit: Same thing with LP’s, CD, etc.

They are a little messy. Sorry. We've got two of these in the living room. Just about everything has been read. The top three shelves are three-deep in books; the bottom one is two-deep in bigger books. It is probably 80% WWII history, which is one of my pursuits. The rest is philosophy, theology, and music. There are a few more bookcases throughout the house as well, stuffed beyond capacity.

For me that begins with my commitment to always have a book going, and to read every day from whichever book I'm working on. Often that means 10 minutes here or there, and many times it's when I go to bed and the book falls on my face when I fall off to sleep.

A good bookmark is critical in this process. I have no more "time" than anyone else.

Here's my painting of my son discovering some of my way-too-many books.

Just moved home so over 300 books were sold or given away. Still have a few boxes up in the loft.
