Heres my n° 1 Hope you like it.. i do .. A LOT !
This is my #1 which, as detailed in the Squier tele area, has been getting "nocastered", including the '51 style wiring scheme. It started as a completely modern style Affinity:
Kurt Cobain’s Fender Jag-Stang
He Couldnt decide whether to pick the fender models: Jaguar or the mustang, instead he combined guitars to form the Jag-Stang.
Huh? I guess I never posted in this thread before. Good timing since after many years I finally have my No. 1 the way I want it:
My #1 (sorry not a Tele, but it's so nice)
The very close #2
My refinished 60s Baja tele.
Andy Summers tribute partscaster is my #1
Current #1 -- American Elite Tele in Mystic Black
(Former #1 -- PRS SE 245 -- doing some photobombing)
2000 MIM w/ vintage frets, and weighs 8 lbs. 15 oz.
Wow! This thread is still going after eleven years?!?
I replied to it almost a decade ago, with a pic of my #1 tele, because it was my only tele at the time. Now I have four, all Logan Customs, and a tele-style acoustic/electric Logan Custom. Here's a shot of the Logan family...
That first Logan tele is on the far right. I love all these guitars, they are all great players. But the new #1 of my teles is my BSB (second from left), because it has my favorite pickups in it (DiMarzio Twang Kings) and favorite switch (4-way). And my new #1 acoustic/electric is that Logan in the center: great player (like I said), sounds great plugged in, and it's as light as a feather. VERY convenient a/e for gigs.
But in another sense, my #1 guitar out of my modest collection is my Japanese vintage Hohner G-940 acoustic. Bought her new 35 years ago, and if by some cruel twist of fate I were forced to have only one guitar, as painful as such a choice would be, I'd have to choose this one.
My 'Philippe Dubreuille' telecaster.
Seymore Duncan '59 in the neck.
Seymore Duncan Little '59 in the bridge.
My #1 is a mid 70's Strat 3 screw converted to 4. Had it since '88. Been thru lots of changes but will stay this way for a long time.
My #1 for now a Samick Avion AV3.
Sorry for the lousy pic...2003 HWY1 Tele, shielded, brass saddles and plekked in 2010. Probably needs an overhaul but it sounds just right. Playing it in the profile pic.
Love this guitar. My kid plays it more than I do these days lol...
Looks like an old thread, but I will post, sorry not a Telecaster.
Fender Japan E serial, so '84'-'87. Weighs a ton (close to 9 lbs), has a total '70's vibe, and sounds just like the two late '70's Teles I have owned over the years but much better quality. Love it.
