Didn’t build one but just got done re-doing a MIM one for a customer. New wiring with push pull tone circuit, treble bleed and new pickups installed. Seriously sounds like a new guitar now, customer loved it.

Go on then.

Here's mine. It has a lightweight swamp ash body. Gotoh vintage style tuners included. Nickel finish. Kluson bridge. Switchcraft switch Axecaster knob. Neck is by Hosco a comfy C with medium jumbo fret levelled and highly polished frets rolled fretboard edges and a bone nut finished in vintage hard wax finish which is satin and super smooth. I did some mild vintage aging to the neck and board.

The body finish is thin and semi-buffed. It can look very different depending on the light temperature mostly a dark muted bluey green or a dark metallic racing green. I really like ambiguous finishes.

I have a TV Jones Classic Plus in the bridge and Classic in the neck 500k pot switchcraft 3 way in chrome. Juicy, bright brangy and loud. Plays great. Perfect Americana tone!

Mine used to be a Fender Japan Tele Custom. It played like a dream but the pickups were crap. I was surprised. The conversion was fun and it sounds great now. The controls are volume. volume, master tone, master volume and it has the pickups decoupled like a Gretsch.

This is a partscaster I got off reverb.com, so I didn’t build it. Originally the neck pickup was a Charlie Christian, which was cool for a while. Eventually I realized what I really wanted: another TV Jones. The routing was open enough, so it just needed a new pickguard and the pickup.

My two babies! They aren't exactly classic cabronita style but close enough to be included judging on what others have posted.

Alder bodies, rosewood/maple. The one on the right has parts from a whole load of guitars, I only bought the body and pickup so that was a cheap build.

Sorry, can’t help either, as I didn’t really build it, just routed out the neck of my ‘60s styled MIJ and added a TV Jones Classic and some other bits and bobs.

Sort of a rough and ready rock and roll rat rod version of a Cabronita.

Thanks man, I'm pleased with them, built literally on my kitchen table, including finishing.

this was some early stage work and the first mock up to see if it was going to work. The pickguards are made of of 5mm ply that I stained black and cut out with a £5 coping saw off ebay. I had zero woodworking tools when I started. I just knew what I wanted and tried to make it happen with what I had. The TV jones pickup was the big purchase, everything else was begged or borrowed, I even got the body on sale.

No

why? .... I've never owned a guitar with a treble bleed.

It's never bothered me and on a single pickup guitar I guess I feel like it's a feature, if I want to step back a bit I can take some overdrive and bite out of the sound with a single action.

With a Creamery Wide Range style pickup. I’m about to make some changes: swapping the volume pot for dual 500k stacked concentric Volume and Tone controls — the other knob is actually a 5-way rotary Varitone switch.
