I'm cheating the rules a bit. I didn't take this shot. My wife did but it was such a good picture, I wanted to share it with you guys. Southern Oregon coast.
Went to a coffeeshop in Ferndale, CA. That's where they filmed the movies "Outbreak" and "The Majestic". They have a kayak or "qayaq" shop in the back of the coffeeshop. They are ocean vessels. These were mounted on the walls.
I like the painting on the wall. I like this dude.
My 15 year old son took these....

You've probably heard about the wildfires raging in my state of CA. Thee's been fires burning at Ruth Lake, in my utility employer's area. We had to go up there and assess the damage from when the fires came through. Any damaged poles, wire or equipment, he had to electronically make a work order to have it noted or fixed ASAP.
Ruth Lake is beautiful be there was a lot of smoke on this day.
The fire department set up sprinklers at peoples' homes to cover the house and the woods.
By the next day, the smoke had cleared out quite a bit but there were still things on fire.
I had to hike the right-of-way to be able to check out our lines. There was no way to get any vehicle to a lot of the poles. I climbed many of this type of terrain and worse. Some folks don't realize the kind of terrain there is in CA. It has everything. EVERYTHING.
The firemen did some back burning.
Two sixteen hour days and one eight hour day working this fire this time. The money is good but I'm developing an aversion to wildfires.
So much chrome it blinded the lens.....
A couple years ago when we had some landscaping work done, I had to raise a sprinkler head so the spray wasn't blocked by the plants. Flimsy 1/2" PVC that would bend under pressure. So I put in a piece of 3/4" behind it to try and make it sturdy. Yesterday I saw this little guy has made his home in the pipe!
To add to the frogs, this dude was on my kayak:
