You guys are going into your Fall season, yes? By July, it should be quite chilly and rainy there, I think.

mostly winters are clear skies and mild weather here.... the ocean water still is around 70F/20C during winter... beach weather...
we get most of our rain in summer usually.... winter is the time for getting stuff done outside in cooler weather... generally a busy time for builders/ machine operators...

I was inspecting electric utility poles today. I parked my truck at a house in a very rural part of NorCal called Willow Creek and geared up to go inspecting on foot. I always wear PPE (personal protective equipment) which includes gators (leggings), leather gloves, high visibility vest with my company's letters on the back (PGE), safety glasses, FR (flame resistant) clothing, plus I carry a large K-Bar knife strapped to my thigh and a can of bear spray in my cargo pants pocket.
ANYWAY (sheesh), I also carry a box of dog biscuits in my truck and I made a new friend who guided me through the bush to the pole I was tasked with inspecting. He was a very good boy. We had to cross a brook to get to the pole and it looked like this.
