So I have this PR chassis waiting for me to build something into it. The original plan was to build the 1164 PR, but now I'm thinking I want no onboard effects in favor of more tone shaping/versatility with a good fx loop. I'm leaning heavily toward a 6g2 minus the trem plus ...??? I'd appreciate opinions on this, and-

I really want to see what you guys have done with a PR chassis. C'mon, whip 'em out and show 'em off.

This is a hybrid 6g3/6g11 built in a PR chassis:

And a bassman micro head:

I also built a (modified) aa1164 in a PR chassis, its a great platform to work on.

Four 9-pins, P-P output and tube rectifier spells a lot of combinations. I'm thinking a Princeton-powered Dumble-ish circuit could be fun. I don't really need reverb and tremolo. I'd like to see where this thread goes.

The $45 Arkansas copy of the Mojotone copy of the Princeton Reverb chassis is my go-to! Four so far with a 5th in the planning stages. Looking forward to the rest of this thread.

Fender-ish reverb amp with push-pull 12AB5 power amp. Multi-section caps in the 1.5" and in the V7 openings.
Junco_Partner_Reverb_Amp_DEC2017.jpg

Same as above. Note the 1-3/8" to 7/8" adapters at V5 and V6.
JP_Reverb-Amp_bottom.JPG

A complete 6K6GT-driven Fender reverb unit piped into a simple amp based on the Matchless Spitfire, but with lower gain phase inverter (6SL7) and push-pull power dual triodes (6SN7GTB).
Electronic_Memory_Reverb-Amp.JPG

Bottom view of above. Again using my favorite filter capacitor mounting scheme.

A push-pull 6V6GTA amp based on the Princeton, but substituting (5-triode) harmonic tremolo for the standard effects.
Harmonic_Tremolo_Amp.JPG

Marshall plexi-inspired preamp with Vavlewizard's transformerless reverb driver, some details cribbed from Matchless, and another push-pull 6V6GTA power amp.

This is incredible. I'm drooling. It's skills like yours that I am hoping to attain.

This thread came along at an ironic time for me. I was talking to a buddy of mine today, and he was talking about the same thing -- options for a Princeton Reverb chassis to trim down other circuits and keep a smaller package. I think @Snfoilhat is winning right now!

Wait until Randall Smith walks into this thread and plunks down all the early Boogies. Standing on the shoulders of giants. I build stuff Tubeswell built 5 years ago!
True enough, but you must realized that you are a giant in my estimation. As someone who has merely tinkered with passive guitar circuits for a while, this is a big jump. And you have made that leap successfully.

I have a 6g2 in a princeton reverb chassis & cab. It's lovely, although I'm starting to think that I should've stuck with the 10" speaker instead of jumping up to a 12".
