The applicator, loaded up. . .

I now apply a dab of glue to each side of the nut slot, the spot is only about ¼ inch long on each side. I DO NOT apply a load of glue, you shouldn’t either. There is nothing structural here, the glue is only to keep the nut from falling out if you ever remove all the strings. And you may want to remove the little bugger one of these days.

Replace the strings and the pressure will seat the nut

    With that…. This baby’s done…. Here are a few shots….

one of the last things I do is play an Em scale…. For some reason, if there is “Stratitus” or the pickups to close to the strings pulling the 6th into an asymmetrical wave, I can really hear it . . . perfect….

Nice touch on the switch tip, nothing is put on the guitar until it passes muster. Enjoyed watching it unfold.

    Amazing, no STUNNING Ron, seriously!

Hey, do you find when you do a standard trem (say a callaham for instance) that you have to make the body a hair thicker to keep the recessed trem cover from touching?

I've never checked with a ruler or anything but if I recall the big trem blocks on my callahams come damn near flush to the bottom of the body.

No.. I've never had a problem, I do all my bodies 1 3/4, with rare exception. Some of the originals varied to 1 5/8, that may be a bit close.

Once again, superb thread Ron. It's literally an online class, and I really appreciate it. I've learned incredibly much, my guitars and I thank you. Your attention to detail and efficient working solutions are the best. I look forward to the next installment of the RK Virtual College O' Master Building Electric Geetars, err, or something like that!:)
