Yes they are. Here's my 2018 Gibson Les Paul Classic Player P90s in Orange Sunburst flame maple top.

Technically P100s, but I just bought this '96 Special. It's a fun guitar.

According to Gruhn's she's a 56 with a factory neck re-set, or a very very early 68 reissue. Came from the factory with a bigsby, but that was long gone before I ended up with her.

It took so long to get it i had forgotten about this thread. Ordered it Oct 4 last year, finally got it Dec 26. Worth the wait. As the title says it does sound glorious. Just a run of the mill '19 LP Std in 50s specs. I was never a big fan of Goldtops, didn't hate them or anything but just didn't get all goofy over them. But yeah, I'm a much bigger fan now

I'd like to do the Neil Young thing myself. I've been thinking maybe if I found a black studio that was already kind of beat up that might be a good start. By the time the Bigsby and pickups go in there's another little chunk of change on top of whatever the initial cost was.

I sold my Studio 60s Tribute last week, but I've still got this one.

NGD. Haven’t even plugged in yet. Should do that.

    Does it warrant a thread?

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Nice. New guitars always warrant a thread. But go plug it in and enjoy it first.

    Ok, the P90 posse.

L-R a T style thin line in mahogany with Wolfetone P90s, the new Brian Monty LP junior with Stew MAC pickups, and a 2004 SG Classic with the stock Gibsons. That’s all I got!

    Cheers,
    Geoff

I have one of these Dillion knock-offs that I bought used for around $350. The previous owner put in Gibson P90's, CTS pots and Orange drop caps. Looked brand new when I got it. Sounds and plays great to me! I reckon he wanted a "real one."

I've got 4 Les Pauls with P-90s, all Specials. 2 Gibbies, a Hamer USA, and a MIK Epiphone. 2 singlecuts, 2 doublecuts, 4 different colors (TV White, cherry, black satin, TV Yellow).
