Back in the club. For good this time.

Traded my two Epiphone double HB guitars ('11 Std honeyburst & '14 Sheraton II in natural) and a few bills for this beauty at the sorta local GC (30 miles south) and couldn't be happier.

    I get it now.

I've had several Les Pauls over the years, but only own one now. It is the first one I bought back in 1969. Bought it used for $300. It's a 1952/1957 conversion. That's a '52 Les Paul that has been converted from the original trapeze tail/bridge and p90s to a stop tail/tune-o-matic and humbuckers. When I bought it, it had been painted maroon. I guess the original owner didn't care for the gold top finish. I had the maroon paint sanded off in 1972. I've posted the picture before, but not here in he club. She ain't pretty, but she plays and sounds really, really good!

2011 Gibson JR with the baked maple fret board . Sweet water close out . I did the relic treatment and upgrades . Bone nut , 500k pots and .033 cap . 357 Customs p90 and tone pros stoptail . Less that $800 in it and I really like it a lot . Thanks

I'm in. Here's my Cedres & Vargas - made in Uruguay - Les Paul Gold Top, equipped with Seymour Duncan pickups. One of the best guitars I've ever owned, with only a downside - it's heavy!

Well, LP are supposed to be heavy, aren't they?

    Best regards.

An update to my Sept. '16 post a couple pages back.

Here's the current Pauls. All of them actually say "Les Paul" on 'em, except for the Hamer, but let's face it, a Hamer Special is pretty much an LP Special (especially if one sticks a scratchplate on, as I did). The 2 Epiphones are setnecks, both "Ltd. Ed. Custom Shops."

Being a conoe paddle player for a long time I really enjoy the company of a good Les Paul! A friend of mine showed me a Epiphone, Les Paul Standard Pro. Being very impressed with this whole package I bought one. It is truly an amazing guitar! I love it! 8 23 17 2b.jpg

My Gibson Custom 57 R7 VOS Dark back, and my Epi 56 re-issue. Both are spectacular players.
