Scrumm, is it a 2016 studio tribute?
    How do you like it?
I am waiting to try one in the next few days, I can swap it with a tele I don't play very much.

Ok, so there's a story about this. When I bought this, I was simultaneously dealing with The Music Zoo on a trade, but the guitar I was trading suddenly sold on Reverb. So I had the cash and bought the one above from GC. Just after I bought it from GC, Music Zoo told me the for-sale price (i.e. without the trade) and it was much better than the "best price" GC could supposedly give me (and a nicer guitar, to boot). So I brought the GC guitar back. They asked why I was returning it and I told them, at which point they told me they'd match the price. Well, I get it, you have a price matching policy, but seriously, when I've spent tens of thousands of dollars at your store, give me the best price when I ask for it the first time. I asked why they didn't give the best price the first time I asked, and the trollish sales guy became a dick. So I just returned it.

Music Zoo rocks. This is my 4th or 5th purchase from them, and I couldn't be happier. They've always given me an excellent deal on trades and an excellent deal on purchases, and I'm nobody to them.

    Here's the new one.

2005 Les Paul Studio Deluxe...fireburst with gold hardware. Going to do some Page wiring I think with some pickup upgrades.

    Great deal on this today.

Here's my 1994 Gibson Les Paul Studio Lite with M-III Electronics I picked up about a year ago for $450.. It has an uncataloged rosewood fretboard & has the sounds of a Tele, Strat & a LP all in one.
I found the specs sheet on this guitar from 1992..

my main axe will always be the tele but I just couldn't resist this deal at Canada's Long&Mcquade Gibson month. $800 off the retail price is hard to turn down for my new R7. Weighs in at 8.2 lbs and resonates and sustains like no other guitar I've played. Love the big neck so transitioning between this and my Nocaster will be easy,

Epi Les Paul Slash AFD. Just had to say something about this guitar. I was in GC browsing last weekend and stumbled on this one. GC had it marked down to $149. I thought it was a cool looking guitar at that price...but surely it plays like crap. Took it off the wall and the neck felt very good and action seemed spot on. So I plugged it into a Fender PRRI just knowing the pickups would suck. Wrong...they sounded quite nice! And it played incredibly well with no fret buzz. And for the price it included an acceptable gig bag, cord, strap and picks. Yeah...it followed me home :D

1st and only HB Guitar Ive owned since I got my 4 bolt 71 Strat, in 71. It was my #1 until 2009. I also have an 82 early Fullerton 62 Reissue, that's now my #1 Strat.

In 2012 I decided I wanted a really nice LP type guitar, so I went to MLP, and checked out what pickups people liked.

So I decided on Tom Holmes, and they had a 2 year wait at the time, as Tom was sick, and not winding a lot. I did get them in 20 months.

But I was in not hurry as I needed time to save up money for both the Pickups/Guitar Foundation.. and I also wanted to get what I wanted, and Gibson didn't make it in the way of an LP, so I searched and found the guys at Vintage Relic.

They make an LP Copy Minus Headstock, using all the old materials ect. Guitars weighs 8.2lbs.

I also had them make it 100% Unaged, and I got all Plastic from both Historic Makeovers, Bartlett, Throbak, and Mojo Axe, and also had to wait for Unaged at HM, but they gave me a discount on next purchase. I didn't care though as I was in no hurry.

V/R also made the neck .92-1.02, and also Vintage 6230 Frets, which I couldn't get from Gibson. Deal Breaker. I like Vintage Frets on everything.

I also like the USA Custom Guitars 6125.

But Ive had the guitar 2 years now, and the more I play it the more I like it, and am finding new sounds out of it all the time.

I had Holmes make the Neck Pup with a Reverse Magnet, and used 50s wiring, and NOS BBs. .015 x .022.

If I had the cash I would have them make another just like it.
