I have an 87 and a 09 Jr.
There seems to be a lot of affection for the cheap Epi Juniors around here!
I got one for my son about 18 months ago as a cheap guitar for him to learn on and I find myself picking it up quite a lot and playing it around the house. It's nothing like my tele and strats but I find that I enjoy it a lot.
Can you get chrome covers to fit over the standard humbucker? This is the only thing I don't like about it. It just looks kind of half finished to me! And I do think it affects the tone as, without the metal cover, the slightly metallic ring to the notes is missing - to my ears anyway.
I think the best thing you can do is to by another pup, the epi stockpups are crap ime. Maybe a hum sized p90.
Old thread, but yours looks exactly like mine (Dream 90 pickup, Graphtech nut). Sorry for the crappy picture...
Beautiful Junior, Brian. I hope to see you play it around here sometime...
Not quite a Jnr, but not far off
2007 Les Paul Melody Maker.
For a bargain price too.
Another owner of a Epi Jr here. A doublecut yellow Korean that I love. I wouldn't call it TV yellow though... It sort of reminds of TV yellow, but that's about it!
Here's mine, the real deal, an honest to God 1957 sunburst, a wedding present from my wife:
I love my '62 SG Junior! Someone stenciled "Butch" on the trussrod cover, which seems like a good name for a Junior.
Not a G, not an E;
JR all the way though.
06 MIJ Epi
Put an LP Jnr Pickguard on my Les Paul Melody Maker
I reckon about 95% Jnr now
Nice one Sollo!

I am thinking of doing my next build like this, a P-90 on a Tele. How does it sound? Can you post a parts list, please?
7 months late
I got my Junior very cheap in April, but forgot to post it here. Do you give numbers? Mine is Gibson 1958 RI, as stock
Here's my new 2011 junior. I love the Pelham Blue gloss finish, and the P90 kicks some serious tushy. Great no frills rock and roll machine.
May be in the LP Jr club soon, assuming my buddy will part with his. I've done a bit of research and I have noticed that on some models the bridges are angled and straight across on others. The one I'm looking at this week is a 2010 and can't recall anything about the bridge. Any info on this at all? Has this model changed much over the years?
Anyone have any info on this? Thanks.
Can't help ya a lot here but I just sold an '01 junior and got a question from an ebay member asking about this. All I know is my '01 gloss model did have the angled bridge, the treble side post was a little closer to the pickup than the bass side post...
Cool, thanks for the info.
