Cool guitar. But that's a Special, not a Junior.

Juniors only have one pickup, at the bridge, with a dogear cover.

In November I posted my cheapie boltneck Epi P-90 Junior and noted I'd probably upgrade to a setneck eventually.

I did. This Epi "'57 Reissue" is a setneck. Came stock with a P-100, but the prior owner upgraded to a Seymour Duncan Antiquity P-90. Also upgraded the bridge to intonatable, and changed the knobs/pointers.

Well, not an actual SG Junior, as it's neither Gibson nor Epiphone. In addition to the headstock, SG Juniors have a dogear, not a soapbar. There's too much space between the volume and tone knobs, too.

From the headstock it's probably a Framus copy. That gibes with the viddy being from Musickmesse, since Framus is a German company. Phil X used to use ESP SG Junior copies. In one posting I saw mentioning those, it said they soapbar was actually a P-100 style stacked humbucker, which probably makes more sense for his style of high gain, than an actual P-90. I have no way of knowing if that was accurate though. But this Framus version may also have a "stealth" humbucker.

Great job. Looks amazing. What a transformation. I seen one of those in a pawn shop for 20 bucks. Wish I had bought it now.

I bought an Xaviere XV-400 on music go round for 149 shipped. It arrived last night. I need to take some pics.

The regret over letting this go grows over time.

This started out as a Jr, but I "Specialised" it, because I mostly use the neck pickup:

It's an 80s Burny, and the current iteration has two GFS Brooklyns, as in the neck pickup shown in the pic. The controls are 2*vol in "P-Bass" wiring, and one tone.

I've never been much of a fan of Epiphones, but this one is sharp.

My '57 TV Junior Reissue. I've wanted one of these for years, and finally made it happen.

This is a cool video some guy on YouTube made. It's 50 classic punk riffs on a Dillion Les Paul Junior copy. Sounds great! :)

    Does a '63 count?

Ignore the other two. My obviously modified '63 Les Paul (SG) Junior with a '72 Gibsons T-top installed in the neck. Just got it refretted with a new nut and I absolutely adore this guitar. Its a finicky beast but man does it sound good! Middle position is wired out of phase so it has that strat-ish / peter green quack which is really cool as well.

Not quite a Junior but in a similar vein.. Enjoy!

I saw someone selling one of these locally. It's a 3 P-90 Peter Frampton Les Paul Special and has a bound neck. Very cool guitar! :)

What was the last year that Gibson made a Les Paul Junior with the fat profile neck ?

Single cut, one P90...... Basic Jr.

I'm thinking it was 2011 or 2010 iirc.
