Hey there,

Not a Tele question but my SX lap steel has this Leo Quan bridge on the two posts like a Les Paul Jr. It was make noise so I took off the bridge cover to se what's up. Because the posts have some much play the bridge bucks up and tilts forward. I am thinking I should could cut a stell wach =er like a C and use as a spacer to keep it flat. A good idea?

Letme if anybody has a better or different idea.

Thanks

Unfortunatly I have yet to learn how to post a photo here yet. I will try and explain better.

Leo Quan bridges are meant to replace the one piece Gibson bridges for LP Jr's etc. ( for those that don't know) The way they fit the bridge posts allows for the bridge to pitch forward under string tension. Tone pro's locking brige posts don't allow this to happen so I thought by using washers in the same way would work the same. as anybody else had this issue with the SX Lap Steel. On mine the tilt was enough to allow the individual G string intonation piece to rattle loose and move forward causing a heck of a racket. The Tone Pro locking posts are nice and all but $$

I'm having the same problem with mine (tuned in open G). The string tension has caused the posts to gouge the bridge and tilt it even further forward. ... not sure what to try next.
