I have this video and I can say that it is essential viewing for every Telecaster fan. The interviews are phenomenal and at close to 3hours, it provides a wealth of information.

The scenes with GE Smith and James Burton jamming on the same stage is worth the price alone!

Does anyone know what happened with this? The domain it was sold from is no longer registered and no one seems to have it available to purchase. Would really like to check this out

I've got the video. I'm glad I got it, but it's not the greatest.

I bought a copy from e-bay last year and the seller was apparently the chap who put the whole thing together.

He trades on e-bay under the name of "fenderfilms". I just had a look and it's saying he currently has no items for sale. I'm not sure whether there's a way to message him via e-bay to see whether he's still selling it.

    Great DVD by the way!

Telecaster film - words from the producer....

    Hi Guys
Some nice comments about our film here - thank you.
The reason why it's no longer on general sale - we went broke thanks to pirates and illegal downloaders - lost about £50,000.
Strat Masters was our first film - and did really well - so we ploughed the money into making the Tele' film.
We had an 18 month wait for Keith Richards after the initial 'promise' - so that delayed things.
As soon as the DVD was ready for release.....sales just didn't happen.
Within days of it being issued, the web was full of sites offereing free downloads - something we didn't encounter with Strat Masters.
Consequently 'physical DVD unit sales' didn't set the world on fire - and we lost all our money - sad but true.
We tried to have the bootleggers and downloaders removed - to no avail. There is no one who can sort out internet crime - the police don't have the knowledge or the man power.
We are trying to get both films as a LEGAL download - and available again - will keep you posted.
I'll have some Tele DVD's for sale from November (original stock) on EBay.
Meantime - I've got back into playing my Esquires with the band!

Me too, been trying to find this for a while. Sounds like you had a rough ride Bob Hewitt, I feel for you. Do post here if you have more to sell, I'm sure there will be willing customers!

I have both the Tele and the Strat DVD's.

Two disc each and quite pricey but very good essential viewing for any fan.

That's a real downer Bob. I bought both films directly and they will be watched and researched repeatedly.

I know financially it's not worked out at all - the Internet is amazing but can also be seriously harmful for musicians and artists the world over.

If it's any consolation - artistically you have done a great and valuable job which many of us appreciate.

    Brian.
