This might be a repost but if you don't feel like reading a book on it (or are driving). The guys from Stuff You Should Knob podcast did a two parter on Leo and Les Paul. Go back to the end of August. Good listening. If you're a real guitar nut you might find it irritating but you could listen with your spouse or kids and they might find it interesting.

Unfortunate typo in its typo. I normally wouldn’t point typos out but my Michael Scott level brain giggled.

    LOL,
    Darn phone editing.

I looked at it 5 times and still couldn't see the issue.

I listened to both parts last night. It's based off the book Birth of the Loud, so if you've already read that, you won't learn anything new.

Two major factual errors bugged me. The host who says he's a guitar player stated that Carol Kaye played bass "on 75% of the songs in the 60s, including all the Motown songs." Later he said that the Les Paul was only made between 1958 and 1960, which of course when the sunburst models were made.

Quibbles aside, it's a pleasant way to pass a couple of hours.

They also said Muddy Waters played a Stratocaster in England when he was over there. First I heard of that.

The show in generally is only "OK" sometimes I think they basically read.all their facts from a Wikipedia page. But it something to listen to while driving.
