Well we’re doing it now
You don’t need lefty tuners (just get used to them being backwards - caused me issues for about a week). Sustain on lower strings will be insane (no real change on uppers). Bending low strings ahead of the nut is way easier!
Well I got the lefty teley neck
Fender locking tuners
And loaded poplar body,,,I’m thinking of just running the Seymour on the bridge no switch and one tone and volume
Hot rod Strat/Teley Frankincaster
But this time I shaved the Strat pocket little bit and bolted it down
So a set of tuners and some strings we ll get to setting the action and intonation and see what we get
Have the same configuration on my Lefty MIM.Put a righty Warmoth Roasted Maple/59 roundback on it. Outside of adjusting to the direction you turn your tuner keys, no issue at all.
You could hunt down Steinberger gearless tuners.
Gibson used them on a Firebird reissue to avoid those banjo tuners.
