A la Waylon Jennings. He had 2 that he used. What's everyone's opinion on how a leather wrapped body effects tone? I have truly flirted with the idea of making a clone.

Elvis had leather on his Gibson Acoustic.

There are uh...accouterments..that need to be added to compensate for the natural dampening toan of a leather guitar..

That looks fantastic. A engraved gunmetal finish on the pickguard and hardware would suit that well too. I'd love to have one like that but the cost is just too high. In the future I might take the time to learn how to finish a tooled leather wrap like that myself.

I tried a faux leather pick guard. It looked good, but took away twang. I got rid of it.

A ebay seller was selling much the same thing for around $800 bucks a few years ago. Now the prices of tooled leather pickguards and straps etc have all gone up a lot on there and I haven't seen any full body wraps listed since back then.
