I have a blond Tele I would love to have a leather pickguard. What designers or designs have you found killer for a Tele!

I would like a Gram Parsons style tooled and painted leather pickguard.
It would look pretty awesome on a blonde tele.

Other than that I like the usual tooled leather flowers etc.
    Cowhide is pretty cool too.

You can find them on ebay. The nice ones with lacing are pricey though.

Not to post their entire site here ( :) ), but the 'hair on leather' ones look pretty cool, too.

I made my own. I didn't want the all over tooling like most leather guards seem to have. I also made a matching strap.

I have a leather tooled pickguard on my deep blue Tele. A bit like a pair of Levis.

Can you post a pic? I've been wondering what leather would look like on my Mystic Blue.

There is someone on Etsy who makes really nice ones. All kinds of designs. I can’t remember the name though. He’s in Texas though if that helps.

If you're gonna do leather, AKA animal hide, this is the ultimate, IMHO !!!

Brad/ Shyboy here in Toronto has made a few. One came with matching boots.

Full disclosure. He’s the guy who assembled my partscasters and I consider him a friend. I believe he has a website.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Depending on your body chemistry, the leather pickguard might get to smelling after a while. I can't wear a leather watchband, and they are my favorite. When the summer months come along, and I perspire, my watchband could put a pair of basketball shoes to shame. I gave up even trying to wear one, just metal bands for me now.
