The only one I've seen on the shelf here in the UK is French's, and it's nasty. What am I missing?

    (Gasp) French's is yellow magic!
I love all types of mustards, including standard yellow.

If you look for 'hot dog mustard' on the shelf.... that's pretty much it.

Not a fan of French’s personally. I like all kinds of mustard, but for an American style yellow, I prefer Heinz.

Though, it could just be that was what my Grandmother carried at her restaurant when I was a kid.

I prefer the dijon brown mustards. However, my current favorite is a garlic aioli mustard marketed by big S box store.

French's IS American mustard. It's good for cheeseburgers and hot dogs, and not much else. The trick is to not use too much. If you bite into the sandwich and mustard squirts out the other side, that's too much.

This one. While the marketing suggests otherwise it's made in the heart of America, Holland, Mi.

Guldens hot diablo was good. Can't find it anymore. Stuck with Guldens spicy brown.

Yellow mustard is great on hotdogs and fries…. Aaand that’s about it. Much better mustard options for sandwiches and general condiments.

I knew a German that referred to it as "baby s**t" mustard. I love it. Perfect on a liverwurst or bologna sandwich with sliced tomatoes.

I love a tiny bit of that plain yellow kind for flavor on my green beans. Really. But it's easy to overdo it.

I absolutely love Grey Poupon, even more now that the wife found it in a squeeze bottle :)

Anybody for Plochman’s? That’s my favorite yellow. They have a killer coarse grain version in a jar too!

It's nasty because you didn't get it when you gave up baby-food. When I was a kid, there were only two mustards: French's (for us kids) and Inglehoffer (for Dad). Two slices of Wonderbread, a slice of bologna, a smear of French's...lunch is made.

We like Koops' Spicy Brown mustard when we can find it. I scored a squeeze bottle last week at Lowe's Foods. Made in Wisconsin...but I don't like it on cheese. It goes on the meat side. Mayo for the cheese side.
