I saw them live shortly after this song came out. Awesome band. Anyone else see them?

I didn't see the band but I saw Pat Dinizio once. He was awesome.
It was right around the time indoor smoking bans were becoming a thing.
He lit a smoke, said "go ahead and arrest me, ****ers," and played an awesome version of cigarette

Never saw them "live" and in person, but at some point in the 1980's, MTV was running commercial-free episodes (on Sat. night) of Live at the Ritz. I recorded a number on VHS.....two of my all-time favs were The Call and Smithereens. (two separate shows) I still pull those out every now and then.

I saw them in the late 80s at a venue in Charleston, SC called the Boathouse that I believed has since burnt down. I didn't know much about them and was pretty blown away by their live show. I was in Charleston for almost a year while my ship was in the shipyard.....
