Lap Steel / pedal steel in church music?

    I bring my Rittenberry SD 10 every Sunday.
    And my 8 string lap steel sees action too.

    Is that pretty hard to learn?. That would be cool to play anywhere but especially in Church.

    Nice!

    I bought a cheap lap and played it every time there was slide in the song. It was well received.

    There is a great album out there called
    "Sacred Steel" well worth listening to!

    Pedal steel would be a lot of fun but a lot of work to haul and set up on Sunday morning. Lap steel would be easier.
    I keep a slide on my music stand a church, but only a couple songs I use it on~folks always look around trying to figure out where that sound is coming from:twisted:
