Its all subjective and based on personal taste but this one is it for me.
Don't anybody dare say "Cinnamon Girl".
Before I opened the thread, my first reaction was “We’re not gonna take it”. Fun song, most uninspired solo I can think of.
"Solos" not "solo's"
The apostrophe is for possessives, not plurals.
Lamest grammatical error.
Ok. Thanks for the lesson. Auto correct changes everything I have to say.
You can hear the edit,
The other 17 minutes,
(Believe I’m sinkin’ down...)
Are you a school teacher? Or just someone who likes to get under people's skin? Oh wait. Same thing.
Beastie Boys, You Gotta Fight
Okay, I'll be first today...
"Oh, Sherry" by Steve Perry, solo by Waddy Wachtel (and I usually love Waddy's playing).
Pretty much anything I've played.
I'm a heck of a strummer though.
I think you may have missed his point.
Dont know if its lame, but it just popped in my head when I read the title - Silverchair - Freak (to be fair they were just kids)
And basically anything else tremolo picking.
Cover Of The Rolling Stone came to mind. "ROCK AND ROLLLLLLLL"
Went back and listened to it...…….changed my mind.
It was F'n perfect.
Great solo. Understated for glam rock. Melody based. What's not to like? Not enough wankery or something?
Most annoying has to be "Layla", sounds like a dying cat to me. (On the other hand the acoustic version is ok.) Still a Clapton fan though.
Lindsie Buckingham Holiday Road, also one of my favorites.
Most solos seem rather self phallating, but maybe that’s the point?
And not a fan of those 60's recorder solos either...
