I'm told they're GC's now defunct house brand.
A local pawnshop has an HSS super strat made in Indonesia. Neck feels great. Havent plugged it in (all their amps suck). $100. Am I crazy to go back and get it?

I've got their short scale 'kids' version that I bought used on eBay a while back for about $30 shipped. I put in a low ball bid, not expecting to win, and I ended up being the only bidder. The build quality was decent enough although the nut wasn't cut right and it was badly in need of a good setup. The eBay listing warned that it wouldn't stay in tune but a little work took care of that. The neck had a good feel and no pronounced fret sprout. Pickups are kind of run-of-the-mill cheap and hot ceramic humbuckers.

I don't think i'd spend $100 on the full sized version. Maybe $60 or so, maybe a little more if there were no remaining setup issues and the electronics and pickups had been upgraded.
