Phil, was it a ball peen hammer?
I believe it was actually a plastic bodied steel wire brush on I-beams. It sounded like a hammer on a clawfoot bath though. Apparently the guy has been at it for a week. By my brother's estimate, he could have had the entire job done with an angle grinder in about an hour and a half.
That's funny. I'm sitting here surfing the forum instead of working on my video because of the constant hammering on the outside of my house. They're working on replacing the siding today...
My wife went in to work today and is going to a work party tonight. After these guys leave I'm thinking of setting up in one of the bare rooms and going for a little natural reverb!
Good luck on your video!
I tossed in a few distractions from the playing.
I'm off to bed. Been a long day.
I'll find a pic in the morning.

You my dear sir are a man of manifold talents! The build is absolutely one of the front runners. Thanks Phil, I really enjoyed it and you presence in the competition this year. I do however think you are a bit more colorful than your video. ;-)
LOL! Great job, Phil! I think your guitar handled Lenny much better than mine did
My favorite guitar!
Such a kwerky video...
Nice work. Kudos.
Laughing My Fat A$$ Off

Great video Phil! Truly a masterpiece of a build! Congrats!
Fantastic Phil , now you'll excuse me while I go clean up after losing sipp of coffee through my nose

Awesome guitar and awesome video!!! WOW! Your creativity astounds me! For some reason I am compelled to dig out my Crossroads VHS tape.........
Great presentation for a great guitar!
What a great guitar!! Came out fantastic.
I love the production on the video, that deliverance tune and then playing behind your head was impressive!!
The tribute you have paid to the many great influences found in this forum is simply "over the top"! I know that there are many of us who are indebted to many, many others here who have been so willing to share....including, of course, you, Phil!
Absolutely wonderful craftsmanship...you have truly expressed that gratitude that we all feel with your fantastic build!
Great job Kwerk. As others have said, its people like you that makes tdpri such a great and unique site. Oh, and your a little bit nuts too, which is always good. Well done fella.
Love the switch to black & white, but think you should have done the vid where you picked up your pallets.
Still cant figure our where Kwerk comes from, you seem normal.
If there's a "Hall of Fame" anywhere, this should be entry #1!!!!
That video rules! So does the guitar. Great job and thanks for the effort to make an enternaining vid, I'm still laughing
Top shot Phil! I'm absolutely amazed how you get that banjo sound out of it as well.
The behind the neck stuff reminds me of "Prince Tiu La Tui and the Maori Troubadors ".
You are truly a multi-talented, creative, and extremely good looking bloke. I'll PM you with my bank account details to deposit that money you promised if I said nice things about you.
p.s. Give my love to Baaaabara.
Righto, thanks everyone once again, I guess I've got about 300 days to learn how to wind my own pickups.
Huge props to all the participants, what an outstanding year of builds this time.
See ya back on the funny pages
